More About Cory

Rooted in the mountains of Mammoth Lakes and shaped by the Reno-Tahoe community, Cory brings a rare combination of discipline, empathy, and lived experience to the field of addiction recovery. His career began in the U.S. Air Force, where he served as an Enlisted Aircrew Instructor with deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. These high-stakes environments honed his leadership under pressure—skills he now applies to therapeutic programming, staff development, and operational excellence.

A lifelong outdoorsman and adventure sports coach, Cory believes in the healing power of nature. He integrates experiential, purpose-driven activities into treatment, helping clients rediscover resilience and connection. His aviation background instilled a deep respect for safety, structure, and innovation—principles that guide his approach to emergency preparedness, regulatory compliance, and team accountability.

Cory has led strategic initiatives for the University of Nevada, Reno and several Tahoe-based organizations, always championing a “service first” philosophy with measurable community impact. Today, he channels that same commitment into creating recovery environments that are clinically sound, ethically grounded, and deeply human.

“Just like the lotus, we too have the ability to rise from the mud, bloom out of the darkness and radiate into the world.”
