Clients living on-site must attend at least twelve hours of groups and one individual therapy session per week.

Clients in all of the levels of care or treatment options at The Differents get an individualized treatment plan, which will determine their specific treatment schedule. Getting off of substances can come with withdrawal symptoms that are uncomfortable and, in some cases, dangerous. Our withdrawal management program is designed to help you discontinue the use of substances safely and start to restore your body. Throughout the process, you will experience the utmost privacy and benefit from 24/7 medical supervision from staff. Usually, withdrawal management or detox is short-term and functions as a precursor to another level of care.
Partial hospitalization programs (PHP) are the most intensive form of outpatient treatment. In PHP at The Differents, you can expect to engage in a full treatment schedule Monday-Saturday. You will start the day with a group at 9 AM after personal hygiene and breakfast. Then, you will attend other groups, meetings, chores, meditation and journaling, recreation, and other treatments or restorative activities. You will have individual therapy once weekly and can request additional sessions with your therapist as needed. Fun activities, including but not limited to game nights, movie nights, hiking, arts and crafts, and music, help bring clients together and foster a sense of enjoyment.
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) are one step below partial hospitalization. The main difference between IOP and partial hospitalization is the time commitment. IOP requires fewer treatment hours per week than PHP, but clients will still attend regular groups, individual therapy sessions, and other treatments or activities outlined in their individualized treatment plan. IOP may be ideal for clients looking for a Lake Tahoe drug rehab who need to work, go to school, or tend to other responsibilities while in treatment.
Aftercare sets you up for success post-treatment.
